GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Exciting, fast growing, home entertainment company is seeking highly motivated students with strong organizational and communication skills to work as Interns in their marketing department.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities will vary from department to department, but may include copying, answering phones, faxes, general correspondence, project driven research, coordinating festival scheduling, and the preparation of written reports, press releases, and other documentation. In addition to being highly organized, applicants must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

Solid written, verbal and communication skills a must. Computer skills, particularly competence in Microsoft Office and Internet, required.

Internships will last a minimum of six months for approximately 20 – 40 hours/week (40 hours/week during the summer). School documentation must be provided.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. The ideal candidates would have a desire for a career within entertainment or related industries. Some industry experience a plus but not required.
2. Applicants must be enrolled in college.

This position is responsible for performing critical and multi-task administrative functions, exercising appropriate initiative and judgment to plan, schedule and control work flow and to make other decisions affecting work procedures.
This position principally supports the administration of various regulatory programs. Essential functions include organizing meeting details to include coordinating presentation materials, reserving conference and meeting facilities, preparing reimbursement requests, reserving special equipment, preparing/sending meeting notices, maintaining Certification and Licensing databases and historical records for each program and drafting meeting minutes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will hold a high school diploma or GED, and have three years of increasingly responsible experience and performance record in a full-function office and will have excellent written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation and spelling.
This position calls for a good knowledge of the operation and capabilities of personal computers and associated software; specific knowledge of Mircrosoft Outlook, Word and Access; a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute with accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively and independently handle a number of tasks, projects and committee schedules simultaneously to achieve performance results as well as the ability to work well with others.
